EMOTIVE Workshop, May 31st 2013

Loughborough University’s Department of Information Science hosted a half-day workshop on Friday, 31st May 2013 at the Bridgeman Building. The event revolved around issues such as monitoring social media and overcoming obstacles, the future of monitoring social media, various alternative methods for detecting emotions; in particular our DSTL/ EPSRC funded project: EMOTIVE (Extracting the Meaning of Terse Information in a Geo-Visualisation of Emotion). The event hosted a range of national organisations in the fields of information science, security, and defence; and brought together academics and industry experts.
